Grass & Clover Varieties

An Introduction to your Straights & SRUC Assessment

All varieties contained in our mixtures are certified to HVS (higher voluntary standard) standard to ensure the highest possible purity standards are met within our mixtures. In addition to this we only include "First Choice" varieties as published by SRUC Grass and Clover Recommended List within our mixtures.

Our relationships with breeders throughout Europe provide us with access to the best grass and clover varieties available to include within our mixtures. Whilst we work hard to maintain these links, we also value our independent position enabling us to use a full range of varieties form various seed breeders within our mixtures.

This allows us to pick the best varieties from various breeders, ensuring a balance of yield, palatability, persistency, winter hardiness and ground cover are achieved within our mixtures.

Over-seeding into existing grassland can be a very successful option when ploughing is not practical, or when existing grassland cannot be taken out of production.
