At Dods of Haddington we supply a range of organic seed barley, wheat, oats and beans throughout the UK. Within our portfolio are well established varieties but we also bring forward new varieties to the organic sector.
We believe it is important to grow our seed crops with local seed growers allowing quality to be monitored throughout the growing season.

WPB Isabel | New variety added to the recommended list. It benefits from a competitive untreated yield and superb grain quality with a kernel content of 76.8 and a specific weight 55.7. Isabel is a good all-rounder for disease |

Laureate | High yielding variety suitable for both malting and brewing. Continues to meet the demands of the organic malting barley market in Scotland. |
RGT Planet | High yielding brewing / feed variety. High untreated yields reflect a good disease package and it is suitable for all regions of the UK. |
Sienna | Has performed best in the north region and benefits from good grain quality and a high specific weight (70.4kg/hl). It is a fairly tall variety that tillers well in organic situations. |

KWS Extase | Group 2 hard milling winter wheat with an excellent disease package and high untreated yields. It is very vigorous in the early growth stages and has a quick speed of development in the back end. |

Lynx | Highest yielding variety with a 7 rating for downy mildew. It also has a very good standing ability at harvest. |
